Background: Where did you come from?

The Morrígan had long ago shown interest in mortal men, and on occasion took one for a lover. In the event of a birth, the child would be left in the world of man, to face the hardships and trials that place had to offer. Only when its blood was needed would it be called upon. As it has always been, 3 daughters of The Morrígan act as her mortal hands on earth, Vengeance, Discord and Righteousness, sisters of battle and maidens of prophecy. One resides in the New World (America) , One in the Ancient Lands (The Celtic regions) and a third on the Great Continent (Eastern Europe).

Fiona was born to a deeply devote northern Irish protestant family with blood ties to The Morrígan . Her early years were spent marching, protesting and picketing with her family, all members of the Orange Institute. Her father, an active member of The Grand Lodge of Ireland, was arrested when she was 6 for accessory to murder of a catholic man. Her older brothers continued to follow in his radical footsteps.

When Fiona was 16 her father was released from prison, far from reformed. To celebrate the family went on holiday to Spain. Here Fiona met a boy named Edward Bradley and fell in love. He was a well off Catholic British boy whose family owned a villa. Fiona was convinced she had found her prince charming, but her fears of what her father might due led her to flee to London, in what she thought would be her happily ever after.

Edward and she were married in a registry office, but it wasn’t 6 months gone before Edward left. Alone with no money, abandoned and facing a life on the street, Fiona had nothing left when The Morrígan found her. She was offered the chance to fulfil her destiny and take her life back seeking vengeance for the wrongs done to her and others. She jumped at it.

Phase Aspect: Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain (bonus to ‘last ditch efforts’, or imposable tasks, happy coincidences)

Rising Conflict: What shaped you?

Fiona was served her husband ‘on a plate’, and given the opportunity to end his life; retribution and vengeance were to be hers for the taking. At the last moment, she stayed her hand, refusing to shed his blood for the wrongs he had done, seeing her act as disproportionate to the wrongs committed. She feared for her soul, and the person she was becoming.
The Morrígan did not take kindly to her first act of disobedience, and punished her with visions of death. Her mind became hazed; her voice the words of battle. She was given incite to moments and outcomes of conflict. Each time it would happen she would become incapacitated in her Delphic state leaving her prone.
The Morrígan had made a point to remind her who’s blood was in her veins.

Phase Aspect: The Voice of The Morrígan’s Prophecy (plot prophecy at a price, incite to enemy plans/routs/desires)

The Story: What was your first adventure?

Story Title: Lives After Death

Rejecting The Morrígan’s wishes, Fiona turned her hand to mercenary work, determined to prove she could do what she felt was right without The Morrígan guiding her. She struggled for a few weeks to get herself taken seriously in the supernatural underworld. She found herself in a place where everyone had something against each other and there were allot bigger players than her out there, especially without her goddess. Her first ‘job’ was in aid of a middle aged Minor Talent. Her daughter had been killed under what looked to be occult pretences. Fiona was told that the father of the girl had turned to Black Magic and was the cause of the girl’s death. Fiona took the job and began tracking her prey. Ultimately she failed in her task, barely escaping with her life.
The father was being controlled by a great wizard of some notable power, and a mere puppet of the organization. She approached a Wizard by the name of Tinker for assistance and swallowed her pride to seek aid from The Morrígan. Only after making peace with her new role in life was she able to complete her task. The Morrígan’s hand steered the battle and in doing so sealed Fiona’s fate.

Guest Staring: Tinker;

Phase Aspect: El Duce’s Prayer – “And when I vest my flashing sword And my hand takes hold in judgement I will take vengeance upon mine enemies And I will repay those who hase me O Lord, raise me to Thy right hand And count me amoung Thy saints .”

“Whosoever shed last blood. By man shall his blood be shed. For immunity of god make he the man. Destroy all that which is evil. So that which is good may flourish. And I shall count thee amoung my favoured sheep. And you shall have the protection of all the angels in heaven.”

“Never shall innocent blood be shed. Yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeaful striking hammer of god.”

(Divine intervention and Targeting abilities/the guilty/the innocent)
